Ingredients

  • 4 lb cabbage, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Dice the onion.
  3. Heat the butter in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  4. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped cabbage and all seasonings to the pot.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and stir to combine.
  7. Cover and simmer over medium-low heat about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  8. Once the cabbage is tender, stir in the apple cider vinegar.
