Ingredients
- 1 medium head green cabbage (about 2 pounds), chopped into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Peel off any wilted outer leaves, quarter the cabbage, remove the core, and chop into bite-sized pieces.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute (do not brown).
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning; sauté and stir for 5–7 minutes until the cabbage softens but remains slightly crisp.
- Turn heat to medium-low if needed to soften the cabbage gently.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to coat the cabbage.
- Gradually add the grated Parmesan, stirring constantly until it melts into a smooth, creamy sauce.
- Simmer for a few minutes to thicken the sauce, tasting and adjusting Cajun seasoning or salt as needed.
- If the sauce becomes too thick, loosen it with a splash of milk or cream.
- Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the creamed cabbage.
