Delicious puff pastry twists filled with creamy Nutella spread, baked to golden flaky perfection. Easy and quick to prepare, perfect for snacks or dessert.

  • Total Time: 20-23 minutes
  • Yield: About 15 twists 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 oz puff pastry
  • 1 cup Nutella (adjust to taste)
  • 1 whisked egg (optional, for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 415°F (210°C). Roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth it out.
  2. Warm Nutella in microwave for about 15 seconds to soften. Cut puff pastry in half and spread Nutella over one half.
  3. Place the other half of the puff pastry over the Nutella-covered half, forming a layered sheet.
  4. Slice the layered puff pastry into strips about 1.5 inches wide using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
  5. Twist each strip a few times and place on a baking sheet, leaving space between twists.
  6. Optionally, brush each twist with whisked egg for a golden shiny crust.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until golden and flaky.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Warm Nutella just enough to spread smoothly without becoming runny, about 15-25 seconds in microwave., Adjust the amount of Nutella to taste; more for gooey richness, less for a lighter treat., Try adding lemon or orange zest before folding for a citrus twist., You can substitute Nutella with almond butter, peanut butter, or raspberry jam., Adding chopped nuts like pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts or almonds to the spread adds crunch and flavor., Alternate brushing with melted butter instead of egg wash for a buttery finish., Make-ahead: Assemble twists but do not bake, freeze on baking sheet then store in airtight container; thaw overnight before baking., Store baked twists in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days to keep them fresh and flaky.
