Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt well in a medium bowl.
  2. Fold in shredded cheddar cheese, egg, milk, and melted butter until blended into a smooth batter.
  3. Grease or spray a 9 x 5-inch bread pan and pour the batter in evenly.
  4. Bake in a 350°F oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. While the bread is still warm, combine garlic powder, onion powder, parsley flakes, and melted butter in a bowl.
  6. Heat the topping mixture in the microwave until the butter melts completely, stir, and pour over the hot bread.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
