- Topping:

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 4 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt well in a medium bowl.
- Fold in shredded cheddar cheese, egg, milk, and melted butter until blended into a smooth batter.
- Grease or spray a 9 x 5-inch bread pan and pour the batter in evenly.
- Bake in a 350°F oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the bread is still warm, combine garlic powder, onion powder, parsley flakes, and melted butter in a bowl.
- Heat the topping mixture in the microwave until the butter melts completely, stir, and pour over the hot bread.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
